Celebrating Seniors Week - May 8-15
The Township is proud to sponsor several programs during Celebrating Senior Week from May 8 - 15. We urge every citizen to take time this month to honor our older adults and the professionals, family members, and volunteers who care for many of them. Celebrating Seniors Week will have more than thirty (30) free events for older Americans to enrich our entire community’s quality of life.

Township Budget Hearing - May 20
The Township is about 1% of your property taxes with 80% of the Township dollars going to resident programs. Learn more about the Township budget at the Budget Public Hearing at 6:00 PM, Tuesday, May 20, 2025 at 8020 Madison St., River Forest. The final hearing and action on the ordinance will be taken at the regular meeting held on Tuesday, June 17 at 6:00PM.

Assessor Services
We act as a taxpayer advocate for local residents in the Cook County property tax system. Our goal is to ensure taxpayers’ property is fairly and accurately assessed. We are available to help with your property tax inquiries, including exemptions and appeals.

Senior & Disability Services
We provide a full array of services to older adults and individuals with disabilities, such as meals, transportation, care management, information/referral, as well as various support programs and educational events.

Youth & Family Services
We contract with local agencies to provide an array of educational, mentoring, recreational, and financial assistance programs to support our youth, in addition to offering our own Youth Engagement Program.

Mental Health & I/DD Services
We support residents with mental health needs, developmental disabilities, and substance use issues, through our own programs and those of the agencies we fund.

Resident Assistance Services
We offer a variety of services including general assistance, emergency assistance, access to a notary, medical equipment lending library, voter registration and referrals to non-profits and government entities near River Forest.
